Your donations support several annual programs in our region. Our goal is to identify which quality programs can scale over a diverse geography and which programs target students at the time when research shows reading fluency is most important to their future success.

Seattle Public Library Global Reading Challenge (March)

The Global Reading Challenge is a Battle of the Books program for 4th and 5th graders enrolled in Seattle Public Schools. The program encourages children to have fun and enjoy reading. After reading 10 books, children take part in a “Quiz Bowl” game to determine the winner for the city of Seattle.

Sno-Isle Third Grade Reading Challenge (March)

The Sno-Isle Third Grade Reading Challenge is a literary trivia program for students enrolled in public schools throughout Snohomish and Island counties.
